Episode 1
In this, the first installment of 2009, we'll be taking you behind the scenes at a very special collaboration; when Emma met with afrobeat pioneer, Tony Allen and one of the most extraordinary brass bands you're ever likely to hear, The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble. The Wandering Feet podcast is all about sharing musical knowledge too, and throughout the series we'll be hearing from some true masters and pioneers, as they pass on their tips on everything from stage fright to remixing. This show is no exception as not only do we give you a mini master class from London based Reggae and Dancehall legend, Tippa Irie on MCing, but we also go digging in the vaults for some words of wisdom from reclusive techno pioneer and one half of Basic Channel, Moritz Von Oswald, recorded at a recent Red Bull Music Academy lecture in Barcelona. And of course, there's plenty of music, with an exclusive outing for an unreleased track from emerging UK based producer Sabina featuring vocals from the wonderful Jamie Woon, plus a very special live track from Tony Allen and The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble.

Episode 2
In episode 2 Emma is joined in the Wandering Feet studio by emerging vocalist Fatima who popped by to talk about jamming with Sly and Robbie and to give us an exclusive preview of some of the new tracks she's been working on. The Wandering Feet podcast is all about sharing musical knowledge, and in keeping with our tradition of hearing from true masters and pioneers, we touch bass with Chas Jankel of The Blockheads who fills us in on the story behind Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick. We'll be also digging in the Wandering Feet vaults for some words of wisdom from Stones Throw's newest one man band: James Pants, recorded at a recent Red Bull Music Academy lecture in Barcelona. And of course, there's plenty of music, with a brand new track from the incredible collaboration between Mulatu and The Helioicentrics, plus a very special live track from Micachu and the Shapes.

Episode 3
In this episode, we hear from ex -academician, Muhsinah who fills us in on her latest album and collaborating with Phonte from Little Brother. The Wandering Feet podcast is all about sharing musical knowledge, and in keeping with our tradition of hearing from true masters and pioneers, we hear from the legend that is William Orbit and the hardest lesson he ever learnt. We'll be hearing some of the latest sounds straight out of Lisbon, there'll be some words of wisdom from Deadbeat. And of course, there's plenty of music, with an exclusive Wandering Feet play for a brand new tune from dub stepper Silkie.


Episode 4
We hear from ex - RBMA participant, producer Subeena who joins Emma in the Wandering Feet studio to share the inside story on some of her hottest tracks. As ever in Wandering Feet we've got words of wisdom from some of the most exciting and pioneering musicians around including Baaba Maal, who joins us to talk about the many collaborations that he's worked on, and Dave Longstreth from Brooklyn based band The Dirty Projectors with the inside story on their unusual method of songwriting. And of course there'll be music, this episode is packed to the hilt with some of the best new music around including some underground Portugese Techno from Photonz, Parisien post funk from Debruit featuring Om'Mas Keith from Sa Ra Creative Partners and Jamie Woon, plus a cut from Croydon Dubstep Princess, Goldielocks, which is available as a free download in its entirety too, only with Wandering Feet.


Episode 5
This episode is packed with the best new music and talent including mini features with words of wisdom from both London dubstep pioneer Mala and Philly DJ and spoken word artist Rich Medina. There's an Academy Application Special too featuring tips and hints from Goldielocks, Wookie and Ross Allen on how to make your application stand out from the rest. And of course it wouldn't be Wandering Feet without music, in this installment, we've got a brand new cut from Little Dragon, an amazing remix of Moderat by TRG and a very special live track from Stones Throw's fresh beat man James Pants recorded live at London's regular Broad Casting Night.
