Manny Mania in Bristol

Manny Mania Bristol 2011

Having already hit Manchester, the Red Bull Manny Mania qualifiers stopped off in Bristol on April 16 to give the south-west's finest manual tricksters the chance to compete in the Manny Mania world finals in New York.

Eighteen contestants and 150 spectators convened at Motion Ramp Park in Bristol to battle it out to be one of the five to qualify for the Red Bull Manny Mania London Final on April 30. The skills on show were second to none, giving the spectators a great show and the judges a headache all day.

After much deliberating and excitement from the crowd the winners were announced:

1st) Jacob Bettinson, 20 from Nottingham
2nd) Hassam Kamil 20, from Swansea
3rd) Pete Adams, 21 from St Judes, Bristol
4th) Ben Smart, 32 from Weston Super Mare
5th) Jack Micklewright, 25 from Montpelier, Bristol

Manual skating legend and Red Bull Manny Mania creator, Joey Brezinski, will be judging the London final on April 30 at Bay Sixty6. The winner of the UK final will not only get the opportunity to compete in the Red Bull Manny Mania world finals in New York, but will also be given the opportunity to have a one-to-one manual skating session with Joey himself following the London final.

The remaining qualifier takes place on the same day as the final – April 30 at Bay Sixty6. Check out the action from Bristol below.
