Red Bull Bedroom Jam heads to Northern Ireland on Monday, March 29, as No Mean City will be playing LIVE from their bedroom and Trivium will be chatting on the sofa.
It will be the second time in as many weeks that the live show will feature a female fronted band after a late surge saw No Mean City hit the top of the Buzz Chart shortly prior to the 4pm deadline on Monday, March 22.
They will be joined on the 5pm LIVE show by one of the biggest and best metal bands in the world. Yes, none other than the mighty Trivium will be shooting the breeze with Goldierocks and Richie T on the RBBJ sofa.
Orlando four-piece Trivium complete their 16-date UK Tour on March 24 and founder member and guitarist Matt Heafy will be popping in to talk about the band’s recent standalone EP and their cover of Sepultura’s classic Slave New World. And not forgetting, he’ll also be taking the RBBJ test How Rock ‘N’ Roll Are You?
This week’s top band, No Mean City, are a four-piece from Derry, who combine raw riffs, deadly rhythms and authentic vocal hooks which, they say, are guaranteed to catch your ear.
And they are confidently predicting a great performance when they take to the stage in their own bedroom on Monday. “First things first," they said. "We would like to thank all the fans and other bands for your amazing support. "We couldn’t have done this without you and we will not let you down. Monday’s live show will not disappoint. We promise!
”Hopefully after our Bedroom Jam you will continue to support us and see that we can do this. We are still amazed at the amount of support that has been gathered for us in such a short space of time.
“Now that we have made it through to the Festival Chart we realise it isn’t going to be easy as there are a lot of brilliant bands competing for a spot at Download Festival 2010. We hope you can keep spreading the word of NMC and working with us until the end. We are doing this for our country and we will make you proud!
“Expect raw riffs and authentic vocal hooks, a bit of funk, a bit of metal and some interesting dance moves on Monday!”
Well, that sounds like a not-to-be-missed performance! Catch the LIVE show at 5pm on Monday, March 29 at Bedroom Jam, where you can also watch previous live shows from the 2010 series.
