Season 2 of Red Bull Bedroom Jam is now in full swing and busy showcasing the best under-21 bands in the UK every week.
As the season continues the weekly 30 minute show is seeing more and more of the UK’s favourite bands join them each week for exclusive sofa chats. Over the next three weeks, Frank Turner, Gossip and up and coming UK rock stars Young Guns will all be pitching up for probing interviews with presenter Ritchie T.
First up on the 26th October is Gossip, the American indie band fronted by Beth Ditto. As the darling of the fashion set (did you SEE that Love magazine front cover?), Ms Ditto has become a modern day cultural phenomenon, but will be joining the Bedroom Jam team and revisiting her roots, reflecting on her unstoppable rise and role as one of the most exciting and unique female vocalists around.
Monday 2nd November welcomes the UK’s favourite folk-punker, Frank Turner, to the couch. After spending years playing anywhere and everywhere throughout the UK, Frank has proved that a musician can reach those heady heights while staying true to their beliefs. Fresh from a US arena tour, the singer-songwriter will bring his open and honest nature to the show for this exclusive interview.
Then, on 9th November Red Bull Bedroom Jam’s favourite sons, Young Guns, return to talk the team through their breakout year. The youthful rockers have taken the music world by storm this year, been nominated for Best Newcomer in a host of awards and toured with the likes of Lostprophets and Fightstar as well as appearing at hard rocking fest Download.
Red Bull Bedroom Jam offers one of the most exciting platforms for young bands and artists to get their foot on the ladder. Bands can upload their videos to the site and each week and users vote for their favourite video. The most popular video gets the Bedroom Jam treatment, with a performance live-streamed directly from their homes at 5pm, for the weekly live show.
