As he stands on the threshold of greatness, F1 world champion Sebastian Vettel knows that now more than ever it's crucial he keeps his eyes on the road ahead. We hear from Vettel himself in his latest blog...

A big hello from Singapore

It only seems like yesterday when we were in Italy and Germany and now we're already back here in Singapore.

We of course know that we've got our first match point, which means it’s even more important we keep our cool.

'We don't play the "What If" game'

But if only it was that easy. There are always moments like this in F1. Moments where you only have seconds to make up your mind, a decision that later turns out to have been crucial to deciding whether you win or lose.

That's why we don't play the "What If" game, but focus on ourselves. We have to block out everything but the car, the track and each lap we take.

Regardless how this weekend will turn out, we're all very happy and proud about the season so far. I think our dominance has less to do with our car, but with the experience we were able to build in the last two years.

There's a very special kind of calmness and concentration within the team that stays with us even on the days when we weren't able to get what we wanted. We never backed down and were even able to score important points when we didn't win.

And after all, those points helped bring us to where we are today.

I can't wait for FP1 and hope that Singapore is going to be as special and wonderful as ever.

Talk to you soon!

Sebastian
