Red Bull Stereopticon is a unique event which enables artists' work, scales it up and projects it real time, brush stroke for brush stroke, onto the walls of iconic buildings. On Thursday, February 24, Edinburgh artist, Elph, will be transforming Edinburgh’s McEwan Hall (off Bristo Square) into a 40ft canvas. Red Bull DJs will be on hand, providing beats in the viewing area, while Elph gets to work. Later this year, Red Bull Stereopticon will give artists in Scotland the chance to take their work to monumental new levels. In autumn 2011, artists, illustrators, and designers will be invited to submit their canvas designs, the most creative of which will be given the opportunity to take part. Ahead of launching a call for submissions, we have challenged Elph to show us what ‘Body & Mind’ means to him on one of Edinburgh University’s most famous facades.
