Yorks Hill – Stairway to the stars

Course and Details: START in Yorks Hill, Goathurst Common at a point 46 yards south of the 'Accompanied Horses' sign, which in turn is south of the stables. Proceed up the hill in a northerly direction to FINISH 7 yards past TPI, just before the entrance to 'Hanging Bank' car park and 23 yeards before the junction with the unclassified road between Ide Hill and Goathurst Common. The Hill is 707 yards long and has an average gradient of 12.5% with two stretches of 25%.

Red Bull are excited to be part of The Catford Hill Climb, now in its 116th year. After a succession of wins from Robert Gough, the star will be returning to defend his title and will try to continue his string of wins this year. There's competition though from profession Darren Clarke, who's tackling Yorks Hill for the first time. And once again there is speculation whether Phil Mason's 28 year old record of 1minute 24.6seconds will fall.
