Red Bull Catwalk Studio returns with one of London Fashion Week’s most colourful designers Fred Butler, to create an original track with artist Two Inch Punch at The Red Bull Studio in London featuring vocals by the designer. The track will embody the themes and inspiration behind Fred’s colourful creations and will become the soundtrack of her fashion film to be premiered during her Spring/Summer 2013 presentation at Somerset House on the 17th September 2012.
Fred’s innovative and structural fashion accessories explore contrasts in colour and texture and have adorned the likes of Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Beth Ditto and Bjork. Two Inch Punch is the alias of London based producer Ben Ash who has made beats for the likes of Lil’ Wayne and has been proving a favourite in Diplo’s mixes. He has even pioneered a new genre he labels ‘Lovestep’.
Two Inch Punch says, “I see a big connection between mine & Fred’s work. Strong colours, textures & layers are so powerful in her designs and those qualities are also something I try to bring out in my music too. It’s a great opportunity to use the Red Bull Studio and to collaborate on something unique and bespoke with an artist of a completely different creative background.”
This collaboration aims to help designers enhance their presentations, taking their collections to the next level by marrying fashion and music.
The track created for Red Bull Catwalk Studio will be previewed exclusively for the first time along with the fashion film at Fred’s London Fashion Week presentation at Somerset House on the 17th September 2012. The film and track will also be available at www.redbull.co.uk/catwalkstudio, bringing the catwalk directly to you.
