Axel Cruysberghs, who was born in Poperinge, has been skateboarding since he was 9 years old. In 2008, Axel took third place in the European Championships; this year he became number 1.
Axel is the best skater in Europe this year, having won the European Skateboarding Championships in Basel in both the street skate and mini-ramp categories. He was also the youngest of the 300 competitors.
