If the Stock Car grandstands are usually divided between those for and those against Cacá Bueno, it’s because the two-time series champion (2006/2007) has always been faithful to two characteristics: speak out his mind and drive fast. Following the retirement of the legendary Ingo Hoffmann in 2008, Carlos Eduardo Galvão Bueno is, more than ever, the face of Stock Car – and its winningest active driver, with 20 race wins, two titles and three championship runner-up results (2003/2004/2005) dating back to his series debut in ’02. For 2009, his goal with Red Bull Racing is clear: to clinch a third title. “My aim this season is to look back and be proud of a job well done,” he summarizes. For that, Cacá will have the support of the fully renovated Red Bull Racing squad: “It’s an immense responsibility to bring this car to the checkered flag every Sunday,” he explains. “It symbolizes the work of dozens of people who have given 110% at the shop so I could fight for victories and championships”.
