2009 was a stellar year for the brand new team Jonas Reckermann and Julius Brink, which saw them crowned world champion at the Beach Volleyball World Championships in Stavanger, Norway. Brink – who also won worlds bronze in 2005 – and Reckermann overhauled the top seeds from Brazil to become the first European pair to win gold at the Worlds. Now, having established themselves as one of the most successful beach volleyball partnerships on the planet, Brink & Reckermann will surely have his eyes on Olympic 2012.
