About Lewis

Lewis was amongst a handful of players handed their first taste of Test rugby during a 2001 tour to Canada and USA. He has been a regular in England sides ever since, including the title-winning 2003 World Cup campaign, when he appeared as a replacement during the final. Nicknamed ‘Mad Dog’ for his ‘feel-no-pain’ commitment to the game (he once suffered two concussions in a single match, yet continued to play), Moody toured New Zealand with the Lions in 2005 and played in Leicester's Heineken Cup-winning campaigns of 2001 and 2002. Lewis was also part of the World Cup finals team in 2007. When he’s not taking hits, he enjoys the more gentle pursuits of wakeboarding and golf.
