About Madars
Latvian skateboarder extraordinaire Madars Apse has been surgically attached to his skateboard since 2001.
He’s made quite a name for himself throughout Europe and on the global scene during his time on the circuit, winning national and international contests and travelling the world.
Madars has competed in the Simpel Session events three times, taking the title in 2003, and also ranking highly in the POP! Session contests. His array of jaw-dropping tricks have earned him recognition and respect throughout the skateboard world and he came second in the first ever Vans Downtown Countdown in 2009.
Living and studying in Barcelona, Madars also finds time to play his guitar when not passing on his skills to future skating stars as part of the Red Bull Local Hero tour.
