About Toddla T

null

Hailing from the unlikely musical hotspot of Sheffield, Toddla T – real name Tom Bell – makes a fierce mix of dancehall, dubbstep and electro beats that belie his Yorkshire upbringing.

Twenty-five-year-old Toddla cut his teeth on the DJing scene when he was just 14, leading other DJs in the city to christen him with his diminutive nickname. The name stuck, but thankfully didn't stop him from conquering clubs, festivals and rave-spots all over the world, with Serocee, his MCing partner-in-crime in tow.

Skanky Skanky (Toddla's debut album) was released on 1965 records in May 2009, and showcased his unique mash-up sound with a stellar line-up of collaborators including Mr Versatile, Herve, Joe Goddard, Roots Manuva and Matt Helders.

Since then, Toddla's joined the esteemed BBC Radio 1's In New DJs We Trust roster, released a truly banging Fabriclive 47 mix and travelled to Jamaica to work with Diplo in the studio.

Toddla hit the Red Bull studio with Dave Okumu from Mercury Music Prize nominated The Invisible, for The Producers series.
