The best B-Boys from around the world are coming to Paris for the renowned one-on-one breakdance competition, the Red Bull BC One this year. The dancers are set to battle it out for the coveted title of International B-Boy Champion on November 5.
The sixteen B-Boys from eleven nations will set new standards in a knock-out competition. They will battle one-on-one, 3 rounds each and will be judged by a jury of five internationally renowned B-Boys. Those who lose are out— no second chances! In the end there will be one winner, the 2008 Red Bull BC One champion.
It takes a complete B-Boy to win the Red Bull BC One. The champion must have the whole package. He must not only dance on beat, have an outstanding variety of steps, power moves and transitions, but also possess charisma, confidence, stage presence and battle skills. He must answer his opponent and show that he is there to win. Top B-Boys to look out for this year are Just Do It, Menno, Wing, Baek, Cico, Taisuke and Mounir.
Of course the returning champion Ronnie is also favoured by many aficionados. Ronnie, the veteran of the Red Bull BC One, is the only B-Boy competing for the 5th time. He has always made it to at least the semi-finals! He is one of the top ranking dancers from the US. Ronnie is known for his infusion of various freezes and intricate footwork transitions. His moves have a high degree of difficulty and are always very clean. With Super Cr3w he won the MTV Show “America’s Best Dance Crew” in August this year.
